SCIENCE CULTURE MOVEMENT

Science is awesome. It has given us cars, mobile phones, computers, and so much more. But science is more than just a tool to make goodies, solve a crime, or offer mind blowing trivia. Science helps us make informed decisions based on facts through testing and observation. This helps very different parts of society agree on important issues rather than guessing. In a world of growing misinformation; especially through social media, a scientific mind-set is the best thing we have to help make a logical decision. Science can also open up a whole new world you've never known about. Now; STEM is shaping the next generation of thinkers, planners, designers and innovators, and we need to give them all the opportunity to grow their talents, and that's why we must now start looking around our towns and ask, what is there to inspire and shape an Irish scientist ?? So get inspired! Letís develop buildings for scientific interest. Let's inspire and educate on not just what science can do for us, but more importantly, why it matters. Welcome to Science Culture Ireland.

WORKSHOPS PRIMARY

Science Culture Ireland offers workshops on climate change, astronomy, biology and microscopes; engineering, LED's and motors; evolution of humans and animals, and so much more. We focus on areas that help glue all the pieces together to help the student make better sense of the topics they learn in school, as well as being better informed in life. We have specially designed our workshops to show why science matters and its impact on the environment, all in a fun manner. We have worked closely with various active teachers to try fill the gaps missing in general education. The workshops are suitable for second class to sixth class.

WORKSHOPS SECONDARY

Science Culture Ireland offers more advanced and age appropriate workshops on climate change, astronomy, biology, engineering, evolution, and so much more. Again, focusing on areas that help glue all the piece together the topics they learn in school, as well as being better informed in life. We have specially designed our workshops to show why science matters and its impact on the environment, all in a fun manner. We have worked closely with various active teachers to try fill the gaps missing in general education. The workshops are suitable for First to Sixth Year. Science Culture Ireland also provides a selection of transition year programmes.

IRISH SCIENTISTS AND INVENTIONS

Here at Science Culture Ireland, we want to promote and inspire Irish contributions in science, and inspire the new generation of growing scientists that maybe one day, you can make it up on our wall of great Irish scientists.

SCI IS BASED ON FOUR PRINCIPLES

Protection of the environment.†
Promotion of Gender Equality in Science.
Promotion of fact based education, critical thinking, creativity and wonder.
Promotion of Irish science.

Science Culture Ireland's core objectives has the protection of our environment at itís heart. It is science that helped warn us against climate change. It is science that is also warning us on the pressure we are putting on our planet and ourselves, But it is science that will inevitably inform us and aid us with the tools and knowledge, to combat these great challenges and inform us on how we can coexist better with all other life that we share our planet with. So letís educate ourselves not only on how we can be more eco-friendly, but what science actually means.
